The nineteenth Abaco Inn Art Show and Wine Tasting was held this year on March 26. The beautiful setting of the Abaco Inn, located on Elbow Cay, is always a popular spot for visitors, but even more so this day. Some of the finest artists and crafters of Abaco had their best work on display and for sale. Visitors were also treated to a tasting of several nice wines, donated by Bristol Cellars.
An historic change has come to the small community of Man-O-War Cay bringing with it a mixture of feelings and opinions as the formerly ‘dry’ island now has an establishment selling adult beverages for the first time.
A Wine and Art Festival was presented by Abaco Pathfinders on May 30 from noon to 8 PM at curly tails. This was a wine tasting event with a chance to purchase fine wine by the bottle or the case while enjoying an art and craft show featuring Abaco's top artists and artisans. A silent auction was also held and light classical music provided an enjoyable background to the event.
Hope Town School held a wine & cheese fundraiser on April 17. A focus of the fundraiser was the book the schoolchildren wrote and illustrated: “Up Cycles to School.” A great crowd turned out to the Hope Town Harbour Lodge to enjoy an evening browsing auction items, interacting with the students and socializing over a glass of wine.
Devour! The Beach excited “foodies,” both tourist and local alike, during the three day event in Green Turtle Cay that started March 26. Devour!, best described as an ocean-side wine and food extravaganza, paired hungry guests with five famous chefs along with a knowledgeable Master of Wine.
Green Turtle Cay is prepping for the highly anticipated three-day food and wine festival to be held March 26-29. Devour! The Beach will feature receptions, meals, wine tastings and other culinary events aimed at pleasing any foodie. Devour! The Beach will be held at the Green Turtle Club and, as its name suggests, along the beautiful Green Turtle beach.
Top-of-the-line Italian wines and imported cheeses were the treats offered to the benefactors who attended the Every Child Counts Wine and Cheese fund raising party at the Green Turtle Club on March 15.
