There was an attempted armed robbery of Treasure Cay Resort staff after 10pm on Thursday, February 4 as a female supervisor, accompanied by a security guard walked to the Royal Bank Branch in Treasure Cay to make a deposit.
The last of five suspects wanted in connection to the armed daylight robbery of the Deputy Prime Minister’s residence was arrested in Abaco on Friday, December 27, 2013
Three men were arraigned at Magistrate’s Court #1 before Magistrate Ancella Evans-Williams on December 13 on charges of armed robbery and possession of dangerous drugs. The first was an armed robbery charge against John Mark Titus for possession of a firearm with the intent to put another in fear. Prosecutor Perkins Collie alleged that Titus went to the home of Ronald and Bridgette Sands at 6:55 a.m. on December 7, and robbed the couple of $6,089. According to police reports, a slim, dark male dressed in dark clothing and a purple wig entered the Sands’ residence armed with a hand gun.
The Royal Bahamas Police Force in Abaco report that two men abducted a banker and a fellow employee and attempted to rob a local bank in Marsh Harbour on Monday, August 27 but were unsuccessful. The Officer in Charge of the MHPS, Noel Curry, reported that a local banker was robbed by two masked gunmen at his home of a small amount of money late Monday evening.
