As speculation mounts concerning when the next general elections will be called, Senior Island Administrator Charles Moss said that voter registration exercises will be going into overdrive.
Geoffrey McPhee, of the Parliamentary Registration Department, told “The Abaconian” the following is all that is necessary to register to vote according to the country’s Parliamentary Elections Act.
An up-dated registry of qualified voters is underway leading to national elections in late spring of next year, 2017. A drive to register voters on Abaco is building momentum with evening registrations in many communities. Family Island administrators’ offices are accepting registrations during normal office hours.
