The Annual Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s (RBDF) Rangers Hike commenced on March 2. The participants hiked a distance of 16.5 miles from the Department of Public Treasury office at Tall Pines Plaza to Snake Cay eventually ending at Camp Abaco.
Adhering to their motto of Discipline, Dedication, Determination, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s (RBDF) Rangers Installation Ceremony for the Abaco District took place at the Government Complex on June 4.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s Rangers of the Abaco District extended a heartfelt thank you to the community of Abaco last week. Through parent and community efforts, a contingent of approximately 35 Rangers travelled to Eleuthera for the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers National Youth Symposium.
Sixty nine Rangers marched, drilled and paraded in front of a panel of dignitaries, instructors and parents on June 6 for the program’s Passing Out Parade (POP). It was under grey and threatening skies that the ceremony unfolded in the courtyard of the Government Complex; but the weather held until the end of the function.
On Feb. 18, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers received a $1,000 cheque to assist in acquiring a bus to better accommodate the students involved in the program.
The Royal Bahamas Defense Force Rangers came out early Saturday morning on November 22 to assist the Marsh Harbour / Spring City Town Committee with picking up garbage off the roadsides on the bypass road.
