Three new Paul Harris Fellows were recognized at the Rotary Club of Abaco’s “World’s Greatest Meal.” They were: Lauren Riviere - Office Manager for Riviere and Associates; Dwayne Wallas- former President of the Club whose legacy includes bringing the Rotary Blood Mobile to Abaco allowing many Abaconians to donate life-saving blood for the first time; and Desmond Bootle- former Club President who reinvigorated the Lowe House Project as well as many other projects including providing school supplies for children.
On June 30, 2014 The Rotary Club of Abaco held its Changeover Dinner. This annual dinner marks the transition from one Club president to the newly elected one. New board members are recognized as well. This year the dinner was held at Abaco Beach Resort with Assistant District Governor, Karen Pinder, as the special guest.
The Rotary Club of Abaco held its Changeover Banquet on June 29. The Banquet was an awards dinner as well as an officer installation. Two Hope Town residents were honoured with the prestigious Paul Harris Felowship: Vernon Malone and Candice Key. The club held the dinner at Sea Spray Resort on Elbow Cay.
