    2017 Local Gov’t Election Results

    The Green Turtle District Council is made up of completely new faces to local government and they appear to be the first group to have met and set their Chief and Deputy Councillors in place with Giselle McIntosh being elected from her peers to be the Chief Councillor and Wayne Reckley serving as Deputy Chief Councillor along with Wade Cash, Micheal "Mickey" Sawyer and Neil Lowe.

    By the time the polls closed at 6pm, Abaco had decided its next two MPs: James Albury (FNM) for Central / South Abaco and Darren Henfield (FNM) for North Abaco.

    Minnis Lays Out Goals During Moore’s Island Headquarters Launch

    A delegation of Free National Movement (FNM) representatives headed to Moore’s Island for the launch of its FNM Headquarters on April 8. Supporters from various South Abaco communities including Sandy Point, Spring City and Marsh Harbour also travelled to Moore’s Island either by boat or airplane.

    Many residents assembled at the S.C. Bootle Ball Park in Cooper’s Town. Some traveled from as far as Sandy Point and the surrounding Cays and took the opportunity to speak with the North Abaco Member of Parliament, Renardo Curry.
