While speaking at the Abaco Business Outlook on September 25 Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Urban Renewal, Philip ‘Brave’ Davis, told the audience that “we are turning the corner” adding that he has no doubt that “The Bahamas is experiencing positive activity, some would even call it a renaissance, with new and exciting things happening in so many islands.”

Public Outcry Grows Over Road Works: Minister Addresses Situation
During a contract signing at the Government Complex on May 27, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works, Philip Brave Davis took time to address the numerous complaints concerning road works in Marsh Harbour. Mr. Davis said that “complaints have reached me but our engineers are satisfied with the quality of work.”

Ministers tour airport and control tower
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works, Philip Brave Dave and Minister of Transport and Aviation, Glenys Hanna-Martin, along with a group of government officials toured the new airport terminal and control tower at Marsh Harbour International Airport during their visit on May 27. According to Mr. Davis they are looking at opening the new airport in August of this year.

Government Signs Several Contracts: Airport Work tops $1.6 Mil List of Projects
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works, Philip ‘Brave’ Davis, signed several capital works contracts on May 27 for projects to be done at Marsh Harbour International Airport as well as a pre-school to be built in Fox Town. He noted also that the new airport terminal is projected to open in August this year.
