Sixty nine Rangers marched, drilled and paraded in front of a panel of dignitaries, instructors and parents on June 6 for the program’s Passing Out Parade (POP). It was under grey and threatening skies that the ceremony unfolded in the courtyard of the Government Complex; but the weather held until the end of the function.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force’s Rangers Program organized a Family Fun Day to raise funds for a bus that is needed to transport the participants to various locations on Abaco.
Under the patronage of the Honourable Dr. Bernard J. Nottage, Minister of National Security, and of Commodore Roderick Bowe, Commander of the Royal Bahamian Defense Force, twenty nine Abaco rangers were awarded their graduation certificates during an installation ceremony.
The Royal Bahamas Defence Force Rangers programme continued to exceed expectations in youth development when it officially installed some 55 students from five junior and senior high schools in Abaco into its youth programme on June 13.
