The annual Bahamas National Trust Arts for the Parks event took place this year during the weekend of December 11-13.
A history of bonefishing in Florida and how it developed on Abaco, together with some useful tips on bonefishing, was presented by Cindy Pinder at this year’s Art for the Parks event. Mrs. Pinder is one part of a bonefishing power-couple, together with Buddy Pinder.
The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) in conjunction with Abaco Beach Resort and other corporate sponsors held its 6th Annual Art for the Parks from Jan.23-25.
This year's ‘Art for the Parks’ marked the fifth anniversary of the collaboration between the Abaco Beach Resort and the Bahamas National Trust (BNT) in support of the national parks of Abaco. The event began on January 25 with a gala cocktail reception providing art lovers with the opportunity to preview all of the work and meet with the artists and artisans in a social atmosphere.
Simultaneous events took place at the Bahamas National Trust’s (BNT) Art for the Parks on Jan. 26 – one of which was the 2013 Chalk Art Festival. Thirty blocks of art work by Abaco artists were aligned along the boardwalk and were sponsored by local churches, business establishments and banking institutions. The event was organized by The Rotary Club of Abaco.
