Bulldogs Secure Two-Straight Sweep at National Softball Championships

Armed with great expectations and a view of bringing home the gold, Abaco Imaging-Creter’s Bulldogs and Abaco Groceries Diamond Dollz attended this year’s Bahamas Softball Federation’s (BSF) National Round Robin Championships from Oct. 30 to Nov. 2 on Banker’s Field at the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.

Agape Tip-off Tournament Features Fierce Competition

During a fierce three-day competition, the best high school teams in the country defended their schools in a tournament that took place at the Grace Gymnasium of Agape Christian School. After the withdrawal of Harbour Island, Eleuthera, the tournament turned into a contest between New Providence and Abaco, with the Mystic Marlins of Doris Johnson, taking a first place in the senior category and third place in the junior. The Abaco Agape Christian School Eagles won the junior tournament and placed second in the senior category. Abaco Central High School held its own, until confronting Anatole Rogers for the third place which they lost 33 to 24. Providence took the second place in the junior age group.

Fierce Competition between Makos and Wildhawgs

The visiting Man-O-War Makos left Marsh Harbour after playing some highly competitive flag football with one victory over the Wildhawgs in Abaco Youth Football Association (AYFA) action on November 8 at New Vision Ministry’s sports field.

Makos Host Falcons in Man O War

After sweeping the Man O War Makos during the first flag football meet of the season in New Plymouth, the Green Turtle Cay Falcons played against the Makos on their turf on October 18. The Falcons walked away with a similar result, winning five out of six games losing only the second senior game.
