Schools Compete in Swimming at Perry Cooke Memorial Meet

Forest Heights Academy was the big winner of the fourteenth Annual Perry Cooke Hope Town Swim Meet high school division with 337 points. Agape Christian School followed in second place with 129 points in front of St Francis de Sales in third place with 62 points.

The Abaco Rage Sailing Syndicate (ARSS) fared well at the George Town, Exuma 63rd Annual National Family Island Regatta May 36 through 30 with third place in two classes, including a win in one of the B Class races.

Bamboo Takes First Leg of Bahamas Billfish Championship: $1 Million Still Up For Grabs

The Guana Cay leg of the 2016 Bahamas Billfish Championship went off without a hitch last week, concluding with an exciting awards dinner at Sunsetters restaurant at Orchid Bay Marina where ‘Bamboo,’ owned by Bill Canida, took top honors. ‘Wave Paver’ (owned by Jr. Davis and captained by Russell Sinclair) and ‘Sandrita’ (owned by Kevin Fish and captained by Kyle Sherman) took second and third place, respectively.
