RTIA Celebrates Its 40th Year, Faces Funding Challenge

The fortieth anniversary of Regatta Time in Abaco concluded on July 9 with sailors and land-based followers leaving well satisfied with the event. Our resorts, marinas, cart rentals, restaurants and others that service our visitors all appeared to have had a banner week. Rooms were full, rental carts and boats were all rented out, restaurants were ordering additional supplies and airlift was at full capacity.

Winding Bay Hosts Golf Camp

The Abaco Club at Winding Bay’s annual children’s golf camp was in full swing July 27 to 31. The five-day event hosted about twenty children who were transported from Murphy Town to the resort.

Scales for Tails Raises Funds for Abaco Shelter

During the July 4th weekend, Scotland Cay held the Inaugural ‘Scales For Tails’ fishing tournament to benefit the Abaco Shelter. The event was hosted by Marlana Bethel and Kelly Wissing and assisted by other volunteers who work with the Potcake rescue effort.
