New Rehoboth Camp focuses on the Biblical story of Daniel

Earlyn and Joan Baillou of New Rehoboth Ministries International held their Vacation Bible Camp from July 30 to August 3, and presented “The Story of Daniel.” This year’s Scripture text was Daniel 5:12. Last year, the Biblical character of David had been selected; however, Ms. Baillou explained that she went before the Lord to ask what to share this time around, and she said Daniel was chosen.

Praise Dancers at Zion Baptist Cathedral Engage in Community Outreach

Felicity Simms was appointed as the praise team leader at Zion Baptist Church in November of 2011. She wanted to help the dancers learn how to become better dancers but saw an opportunity to teach them how to give back as well. Since it was summertime and the praise dancers were all going to be on island, Simms decided to engage the praise dancers in some community service, which will keep them busy. These young ladies in the group are teenagers and this was a great way for them to learn how to give back to those in need and to build relationships with each other.

Methodist Church Leaders Honoured in July

A service was held at St. Andrews Methodist Church, Dundas Town, on July 15 to celebrate leaders within the Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church. Eighteen leaders who had served the church for years were honoured for the roles they had performed such as preaching, chairing meetings, raising money and conducting prayer meetings.

Annual Revival Held at Victory Tabernacle

This year the Victory Tabernacle church held four days of revival services over the week of June 24 to the 28, 2012 with nightly services at 7 p.m. There were three speakers over the four nights. They were Bishop Tyrone Mills from End Time Harvest Church, Pastor Eckbert Tinker of Revival Time Pentecostal Church in Spring City, and Pastor Preston Knowles of Greater Bethel Baptist Church Moore’s Island.
