Canishka Alexander

Canishka Alexander was born in New Providence, but spent most of her childhood years on Abaco. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Abilene Christian University.

Although she has accomplished many things in life, her greatest accomplishment is being a mother to her four children. She loves God, her country and people of all cultures.

Through Island Investigators, the students investigate environmental issues on a small scale that affect or concern them as young people. In the past, they have also investigated mangrove disease, planted corals on reef balls, and investigated snails destroying reef in Sandy Point.

Royal Yacht Club Members Make Annual Donation to BASRA

During his remarks, Commodore Meyer said that the yacht club is happy to assist and make smaller donations to organizations that support boating in the Abacos. The RMHYC is a yacht club based in Marsh Harbour with a membership of about 600 members from the United States and Canada.
