Abaco Swim Club Competes in First National Meet for the Year

Ten swimmers from the Abaco Swim Club travelled to Nassau on January 27-28 for the Barracuda Leno Corporate Services Invitational. The team of Addison Albury, Victoria Albury, Silas Albury, Emily Sims, Noah Albury, Brayden Dam, Paxton Albury, Kiana Hicks, Roman Pinder and Dakota Sawyer swam a combination of sprint and distance events.

All swimmers made national qualifying times for the 2017 RBC Bahamas National Swimming Championships which will be held in Nassau on June 22-25.

High Point winner in the 11-12 boys age-group was Noah Albury with 49 points.

On a whole, the swimmers did exceptionally well for their first swim meet in 2017, the Club expects great things from all of them this swim year, said Coach Sara Knowles.
