Rotary Bell Ringing Feeds Over 170

In December you may have seen smiling men and women in front of your grocery stores ringing a bell and hoping for your change. If you obliged them, then the Rotary Club of Abaco wants to thank you for helping with their annual Christmas Food Parcels.

Every year the Rotary Club raises funds for their Christmas parcels with several weeks of bell ringing. With the funds raised this year the Club was able to supply and pack 170 boxes of goods that were then distributed to the needy all across Abaco from the very north to the south. Gift certificates were also given to some in the communities of Moores Island and Grand Cay.

This Rotary Club of Abaco tradition has been going on for many years and is one of the Club’s key service outreaches. And many hands made light work this year as the Club grew by several members throughout the months of November and December.

So this year when Christmas comes again and you drop a dollar or two in those buckets know that you helped warm the spirit of and feed someone in need.
