Captain Raymond Lowe is the first Bahamian certified to teach American Sailing Association sailing courses in The Bahamas.

Local Captain Completes Prestigious Course

Cruise Abaco has announced that Captain Raymond Lowe successfully completed the American Sailing Association’s Instructor Certification Programme.

With this certification Mr. Lowe, known as Capt. Ray, becomes the first Bahamian certified to teach American Sailing Association sailing courses in The Bahamas.

Capt. Ray, a Bahamian native, along with his partner, Chef Renee, are a fun and energetic couple specializing in customized tours of the Abacos and offer a real vacation experience.

Captain Ray is now able to teach new and seasoned sailors these ASA core certifications; basic sailing, coastal cruising, bare boat chartering and catamaran instruction.

Capt. Ray completed his instructor certification programme at Cruise Abaco’s base on the docks at the Great Abaco Beach Resort in Marsh Harbour.

Timothy had his first venture into Journalism just months after graduating from Queen’s College in Nassau taking his first job with The Tribune in 1991 leaving in 1992 for other pursuits.
