Rotary Hosts Seniors’ Luncheon

On December 5, 2016, the Rotary Club of Abaco hosted a Seniors’ Luncheon. The meal, and entertainment, was held at the Anglican Parish Hall in Marsh Harbour.

Some thirty seniors joined Rotarians at the hall for a Thanksgiving-style meal of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, yams and sweets. Local musicians volunteered their talents but Viola Cornish Swain Johnson (above) stole the show that afternoon by raking and scraping Gospel hymns in the Bahamian style.

After the meal, leftovers were packed up and delivered to shut-ins and others who could not make it to the luncheon.
