The new Cherokee Clinic is really taking shape as of late. The outside work is completed and a good coat of paint will finish the job.
Aside from the porch, steps, and ramp, repairs were done to the roadway around the building. The septic tank will soon be installed.
All the work done so far has been paid for or done by volunteers. These generous people are very proud of what has been accomplished thus far and look forward to finishing the job.
Prior to this, residents of Cherokee did not have proper clinic, and visits from government nurses or doctors were few and far between.
