Pilot Club Donation

The Pilot Club of Abaco donated breakfast items to Strong Tower Community Church on Nov. 17 after learning that the church had been broken into and all of its food and appliances stolen. Pilot Club members decided it was a good idea to jump start the church’s recovery efforts, so a donation was made to Pastor Stephen Knowles.

On the same day, the Pilot Club of Abaco treated the staff of the Cooper’s Town Government Clinic to a scrumptious lunch in celebration of Care and Kindness Week. As many are aware, Pilots focus on assisting and bringing awareness to persons with brain-related disorders. During this particular week, the members specifically give back to the caregivers of persons involved in their “Pick Me Up” Program.

Those in attendance observed that the lunch was well received as Nurse Charmaine Cornish expressed appreciation on behalf of the staff for their being selected for such a treat.

The Pilot Club of Abaco members look forward to being engaged in similar programs in the future. Their Annual Emerald Ball will be held on Dec. 19 at St. John’s Anglican Parish Hall this year.
