The Bahamas District of Kiwanis held an anti-bullying campaign throughout The Bahamas in various locations where they have Kiwanis organizations.
Service Leadership Program Director Neulessa Major explained that the intent of the anti-bullying campaign was to bring awareness to the bullying in our schools and our communities.
“Here in Abaco at Central Abaco Primary School (CAPS), Kiwanis Secretary Cindi Hollingsworth held an anti-bullying assembly,” Major said. “On March 2, the members of Kiwanis wore their anti- bulling T-shirts in support of the cause.”
Prior to wearing the T-shirts, several business and banks were asked to support the campaign to help sensitize the public.
She extended gratitude to the management and staff of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for joining them in this campaign and the management and staff of Wildav Liquors, whose manager – William Davis – is the 2014-2015 President of the Kiwanis Club of Central Abaco. She is hopeful that more businesses support the campaign in the future.
