Food and Water

Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I consider myself a TRUE TRUE Bahamian and am always very pleased when I learn of a person or company producing food for the Bahamian Population, i.e. Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI).

But I have an important question for the government. It has been bothering me for years. Why do we have to import drinking water? It is easier to produce than eggs, chicken, bananas or papayas. I look forward to an answer from the appropriate ministry.
