Chinese Media Delegation Visits Abaco to Promote The Bahamas

A Chinese media delegation visited Abaco from Jan.13-14.

Participants included Luo Yi of “Across Magazine,” Xu DuoDuo of Golin PR Chinese Agency, Ministry of Tourism staff members, Sylvana Rahming and Denia Williams, along with Wynsome Ferguson, manager of the Abaco Tourist Office.

According to Ferguson, Yi and DuoDuo were on a fact-finding mission, so that they are in a better position to sell and promote The Bahamas.

“They were basically looking at our product offering, so that they can write about it in their press releases and encourage their people to visit the destination,” Ferguson explained.

While on Abaco, the group visited Hope Town and toured the Elbow Reef Lighthouse as well as Firefly Resort.  Their next stop was Treasure Cay where they dined at Treasure Sands Club and then continued on to a property tour of Bahama Beach Club.

The following day, the participants visited South Abaco and enjoyed property tours of Schooner Bay and the Abaco Club on Winding Bay. The remainder of their time was spent shopping on Marsh Harbour’s tourist strip at John Bull, Abaco Gold, Iggy Biggy and the Art Gallery. A visit well-spent, the delegation departed for Nassau aboard Bahamasair.
