Mark Bastian, 41, was arraigned at the Magistrate’s Court on Dec. 23 on charges of stealing and receiving.

Magistrate Ancella Evans-Williams read the detailed charges that were brought against Bastian. The particulars were that Bastian, being concerned with others, was implicated in the stealing and receiving of a 43.3 foot, blue and white Sea Ray boat in Leisure Lee on Dec. 21.

The boat was valued at $350,000.

Bastian pled not guilty to both charges. Nevertheless, the prosecution objected to Bastian receiving bail, and adjourned the matter until March 25. Prosecutor Bain added that there was an antecedent against Bastian in another matter regarding human trafficking.

Bastian was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison until his court date.
