Local Man Finds Conch Pearl in Fritters

While dining at Curly Tails Restaurant in Marsh Harbour, Michael Albury found a pink surprise waiting inside his conch fritters.

“This is the first time in my life I’ve ever found a conch pearl,” said the native who grew up in Man O War Cay. Despite years of fishing and conching, the first time he has ever stumbled across such a piece of natural jewelry happened to be during lunch.

“I’m going to be ordering more conch fritters,” he said, “so I can make a set of earrings for my wife.”
