Having won the Abaco District's segment of the National Insurance Board's 40th Anniversary National Speech competition, Berthony McDermott of S. C. Bootle High School travelled to Nassau with his coach, Nadira Kawalram, to compete with schools from around the country in the finals at the National level.

Having won the Abaco District’s segment of the National Insurance Board’s 40th Anniversary National Speech competition, Berthony McDermott of S. C. Bootle High School travelled to Nassau with his coach, Nadira Kawalram, to compete with schools from around the country in the finals at the National level.

When the ‘dust had settled’, Berthony walked away with the third place prize in the National Insurance Board’s 40thAnniversary Speech Competition.

Principal Huel Moss and the S.C. Bootle staff and administration team congratulated Berthony on his outstanding representation of Abaco.
