Primary School students from Every Child Counts (ECC), as a part of Fire Prevention Activity during Fire Prevention Month in The Bahamas, were given a tour of Marsh Harbour Volunteer Fire and Rescue’s fire station on Wednesday, October 22.

The students, ages 6-11 years old, were shown around the station by Fire Fighters Sarone Kennedy and Issachar Baillou, who also gave instructions on how to prevent a fire.

The class was asked how important fire is for our lives and then told how destructive it can become. They were also told how not to use and or handle matches with adult supervision.

Timothy had his first venture into Journalism just months after graduating from Queen’s College in Nassau taking his first job with The Tribune in 1991 leaving in 1992 for other pursuits.
