The Abaco Tourist Office is very pleased to announce a total of 11 nominees for the 16th Cacique Awards, to be held on Saturday, 24th January, 2015, at the Melia Nassau Resort, Cable Beach, Nassau.

This will end the year long activities for the Ministry of Tourism’s 50th Anniversary and Golden Jubilee Celebrations. Abaco can boast of having many Cacique Winners and a force to reckon with, having claimed 22 wins over the years.

This year there will be no exception, with the list of nominees as follows:

Candace Key – Sustainable Tourism

William Davis – Special Events

Albury’s Ferry – Transportation

Kimberly Roberts – Handicraft

Florence Sawyer – Minister’s Award/Sustainable Tourism

Emalcus Hield – Sports & Leisure

Lincoln Jones – Sports & Leisure

Victor Russell – Life Time Achievement Award

Dave Ralph – Life Time Achievement Award

Cherokee Aviation – Transportation

Violet Smith – Sustainable Tourism
