The Abaco Christian Council partnered with the Department of Education to present a Back to School Church Service at Friendship Tabernacle Church on Sept. 26. Bishop Cedric Bullard, 1st Vice President of the Abaco Christian Council, was the moderator.

The Abaco Christian Council partnered with the Department of Education to present a Back to School Church Service at Friendship Tabernacle Church on Sept. 26.  Bishop Cedric Bullard, 1st Vice President of the Abaco Christian Council, was the moderator.

A number of schools were listed on the program for musical selections and included Little Darlings Academy, James A. Pinder Primary School, St. Francis de Sales School, Abaco Central High School, Cooper’s Town Primary School. A Scripture Reading was given by Grace Albury of Man-O-War Primary School.

Back to School ChildrenFollowing the welcome address by Rev. Marie Neilly, 2nd Vice President, remarks were welcomed from Renardo Curry, Parliamentary Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister (Abaco), and the Hon. Jerome Fitzgerald, Minister of Education, Science and Technology. Both men gave encouragement to the students and teachers as they embark upon a new school year.

Rev. Christopher Dean of Zion Baptist Cathedral was invited to pray for the Education staff, students and parents. Meanwhile Pastor Stephen Knowles, president of the Abaco Christian Council, delivered remarks as the keynote speaker for the occasion.
