The Bahamas Marine Mammal Research Organization  are reporting the recent sighting of Randy the Manatee.

Earlier this Spring, this lovestruck young manatee, born in the Berry Islands, crossed the sea over to Abaco in pursuit of Georgie – a young female manatee. Now it seems Randy has returned to Abaco, perhaps seeking her out once again.

BMMRO has been conducting a long-term study documenting the occurrence, distribution, and abundance of marine mammals around the islands of The Bahamas since 1991. Currently based in Sandy Point, this project provides the only comprehensive documentation of marine mammal fauna in this part of the world.
