On November 1 local triathlete, Brent Cartwright, will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles to support the Children’s Tumor Foundation. He is seeking sponsors to help him reach his goal of raising $5000 for this charity.

“From the first day I decided I wanted to do an Ironman,” Mr. Cartwright said, “I wanted to find a cause to help, so it would be more than just a personal achievement. I have been torn for a long time on just which charity. I knew I wanted it to be one that helped children somehow. Everything has a way of working out, and I am now helping an amazing cause.”

As of August 1 he will have 123 days left to reach his goal. As of publication he has raised $1465 of his total $5000 goal.
