The Anglican Church Women (A.C.W.) of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church organized their first Thanksgiving Luncheon on November 22. Patrons were served honey glazed ham, roasted turkey, lobster or herb stuffing, vegetable medley, candied yams and pumpkin pie at a cost of $10 per dinner.

According to Telanna Newbold, an A.C.W. member, 250 to 300 lunches were prepared, and the support was outstanding.

“We sold out completely,” Newbold exclaimed.

Proceeds raised will go toward purchasing blankets, pajama sets, socks, hats for the elderly as well as for the less fortunate of the community, and the donations will be distributed this month.
