In case of a medical emergency on Green Turtle Cay, a volunteer “First Responder Group” is available to help. A recent review of the equipment and supplies currently available indicated a need for a pulse oximeter. This item is placed on the fingertip of a patient and is able to report the oxygen level by scanning the skin so there is no discomfort. An oximeter also quickly and conveniently reports the pulse rate.
