Forest Heights Academy students excel at national exams

The administration of Forest Heights Academy expresses their congratulations to the teachers, staff and students for another excellent year of improvements. Students receiving A’s in the BGCSE were up eighteen percent over last year.

Top student, Matthew Grammatico, achieved eight A’s and three B’s.  Shannon Steele scored seven A’s, two B’s and one C. Tyler Albury, Aly Boyce, Deanza Cox and Nathan Grammatico all had 5 A’s, which is the benchmark for national recognition.

The pass rate for the school’s BJC exam takers was 99%. This number is up from the 96% pass rate last year for the BJC. The top academic students all tied with six A’s and one B in Craft (Sujith Swarna, Catalina Albury and Rebecca Roberts) while 2 others had 5 As (Pavel Bailey and Andrew Hanna).

At the BGCSE level there was a 100% pass rate in the subjects of art, chemistry, office procedures, Spanish, physics and literature. Every student achieved who took exams in craft and office procedures received an A. The class average was a B-.

At the BJC level there was a 100% pass rate in the subjects of math, general science, health science, craft, English language and social studies. The class average was a B.

The administration was proud to bring to note that nearly every goal set forth from last school year was surpassed.
