Charles Maynard, Chairman of the Free National movement and former Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, passed away in Abaco early August 14, 2012. Mr. Maynard was in North Abaco preparing for the by-election when, according to reports, he collapsed from a heart attack. He was unresponsive when he arrived at the Treasure Cay Clinic and was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m. Mr. Maynard was 42 years old.

Charles Maynard, FNM Party Chairman, passed away early morning in North Abaco on August 14. Collapsing from a suspected heart attack, Mr. Maynard was unresponsive when he arrived to the Treasure Cay Clinic. We express our condolences.

Charles Maynard, Chairman of the Free National movement and former Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture, passed away in Abaco early August 14, 2012. Mr. Maynard was in North Abaco preparing for the by-election when, according to reports, he collapsed from a heart attack. He was unresponsive when he arrived at the Treasure Cay Clinic and was pronounced dead at 1:30 a.m.

Mr. Maynard was 42 years old.

A statement was issued by the FNM in regards to Mr. Maynard’s passing.

“The passing of the national chairman Charles Maynard is a tremendous loss of the rising political statesman and public servant, not only to the Free National Movement, but also to our beloved country.”

The Abaconian expresses our condolences to Mr. Maynard’s family and loved ones and we express our thanks for his service to the country.
