Young Dillon Albury enjoyed a great experience playing for the Freedom Farm National Baseball Team competing well in a tournament in North Carolina.
The Freedom Farm team placed fourth in the Cal Ripken Baseball Southeastern Championships playing against 19 other teams from the United States from July 25 – 29.
Dillon, who joined the All Abaco Little League (AALL) in October 2011, was scouted by Freedom Farm coaches when Abaco hosted an invitational tournament in May this year. Teams from Nassau and Grand Bahama played in the tournament.
A coach of the Freedom Farm National team from Nassau asked Dillon’s mother, Tammy Albury, if she would let her son join their National Team when they travelled to North Carolina in July to participate in the Regional Championship
She said he had to practice for two weeks with the Freedom Farm National Team in Nassau after which they travelled on with the team to the Town of Matthews, North Carolina.
Mrs. Albury said that Dillon has been asked to join the Freedom Farm National Team and continue playing on it in the future.
