North Abaco Teams Dominate Softball games

The Lady Sluggers and the R.J. Runners met again for another round of softball on July 6 at the Murphy Town Ball Field.

This time Tessa Louis led the team as pitcher in the absence of Rhonda Eldon. Their game was the first of a double-header series scheduled for the night.

Unfortunately for the Lady Sluggers, however, the Runners were able to score a number of runs early in the innings, and it proved too difficult for the Central Abaco team to catch up. In the end, the Runners won 14 – 8.

During the second game of the night, the Shiloh Destroyers competed against the DNR Sluggers. The Destroyers showed no mercy to the Sluggers, and captured the game with 20 runs. The DNR Sluggers scored only five runs.

On July 7, the R.J. Runners could not keep up with the F.E. S. Peacocks in their second game of the weekend. The Peacocks beat them 16 – 9.
